# STI — AnySurface for Summer Teacher Institute teachers

The teacher-facing landing page for the **NM Supercomputing Challenge Summer Teacher Institute**
(July 12–17, NM Tech, Socorro): *your phone is a device you host* — local first, then build your own simtable.

It explains the room-forming gesture (Stephen hosts a room → invites Max in → Max invites the teachers via QR
or this URL), links out to the **single-device prototypes** (real camera/sensors, all local — needs https + a
device), and lays out the four-hour arc: your phone is a server you own → many phones, one instrument → build
your own simtable → the simulation on the table.

Copied 2026-07-15 from **https://anysurface.com/sti/** (still live there) into this curriculum directory, so
the Challenge's apps sit together: `apps/supercomputingchallenge/{laser, sti, …}`.

Exactly **one** change from the original: the footer's root link `/` was absolutized to
`https://anysurface.com/`, which would otherwise have pointed at redfish's root from this origin. Otherwise
byte-identical.
